About

Background

I am a mechanical engineer and student at the University of Colorado Denver focused on mechanical design, analysis, and hardware development. I am especially interested in spacecraft and complex mechanical systems, and I am always looking for opportunities to expand what I know about how these systems are designed, built, tested, and improved.

My engineering background began in aerospace manufacturing at Lockheed Martin, where I worked in an AS9100-certified prototype shop supporting space-based programs. I later worked as a machinist programming CNC machines and designing fixturing for production, giving me hands-on experience with how precision hardware is actually made. That experience continues to shape the way I design, from material and process selection to tolerances, workholding, tool access, assembly, and inspection.

Most recently, I worked as a Production Engineering Intern at True Anomaly, where I supported the development and production of spacecraft hardware. Working in the space industry reinforced my focus on spacecraft mechanical design and gave me a broader view of the engineering required to turn a concept into functional flight hardware.

My goal is to continue growing as a mechanical engineer capable of contributing across spacecraft development, with a strong foundation in design and analysis backed by practical manufacturing experience. I want to keep learning as much as possible about spacecraft structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, integration, and testing, and the many engineering disciplines that come together to build reliable space hardware.

  • Design the full mechanical system for a component that converts a standard 3D printer into a continuous carbon-fiber printer, owning fluid dynamics, tolerance stack-up, and material selection.
  • Build and maintain a carbon-fiber slicing and post-processing system that generates machine-ready G-code for continuous-fiber printing.
  • Study crack propagation in composite printed specimens through fiber-steered design and mechanical testing.
